Middle School at Lowcountry

Growing Independence, Building Confidence

6th – 8th Grade
The Middle School years at Lowcountry are a time of tremendous growth, discovery, and transformation. As students transition from childhood to adolescence, our program is designed to meet their academic, social, and emotional needs while fostering independence, responsibility, and confidence.

Our dedicated faculty creates a supportive environment where students are challenged to think critically, collaborate, and take ownership of their learning. A strong academic foundation continues to develop through rigorous coursework in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, while enrichment classes in art, music, technology, physical education, and world languages ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
Learning in Middle School goes far beyond the textbook. Students participate in hands-on projects, class discussions, leadership opportunities, and thoughtfully planned field trips that connect classroom concepts to real-world experiences. Whether conducting science experiments, visiting historical sites, or engaging in service projects, Middle School students deepen their understanding and discover how their learning applies to the world around them.

Social-emotional growth remains a central focus as students navigate new responsibilities and friendships. Our teachers and staff work closely with students to guide them through this important stage, helping them build resilience, empathy, and confidence.
At Lowcountry, Middle School students are empowered to grow as thinkers, leaders, and individuals—well-prepared for the academic challenges and personal opportunities of Upper School and beyond.
The mission of Lowcountry Preparatory School is to empower students to achieve their full potential by growing in faith and character to lead with integrity and serve with compassion.
