We empower students to achieve their full potential by growing in faith and character to lead with integrity and serve with compassion.

Vision Statement

To be the premier college preparatory school in the area where students discover that who they are is just as important as what they know.

Portrait of a Graduate

Created by our Graduating Class of 2025, our Portrait of a Graduate defines the values we hope every Marlin carries with them beyond Lowcountry Prep. Rooted in Faith, our students grow in five key areas: Self-Awareness, Character, Service, Lifelong Learning, and Leadership.

These aren't simply qualities we want our students to know, they are qualities we want them to live. Our Portrait of a Graduate guides how we teach, lead, serve, and grow together as a school community.
At the center of this visual portrait is our newly designed 30th anniversary logo, a symbol of tradition and progress. Surrounding it are five core attributes we believe are essential for future success:
  • Self-Awareness
  • Character
  • Service
  • Lifelong
  • Learning
  • Leadership
Each of these core traits is further defined by two supporting qualities that help bring greater lucidity to what we mean:
  • Self-Awareness: Empathy and Respect
  • Character: Discipline and Authenticity
  • Service: Compassion and Dedication
  • Lifelong
  • Learning: Perseverance and Curiosity
  • Leadership: Initiative and Integrity

And surrounding it all—literally and philosophically—is a final outer circle bearing the word Faith. This speaks to the central role of our Judeo-Christian values and reminds us that everything we do is grounded in something greater than ourselves: a call to lead lives of meaning, purpose, and service.

This Portrait of a Graduate is not a checklist—it is a vision of growth. It’s a reflection of our belief that education is not simply about what students know, but about who they become. And it will serve as a vital guidepost as we design learning experiences, assess our programs, and support students on their journey from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade graduation.
The mission of Lowcountry Preparatory School is to empower students to achieve their full potential by growing in faith and character to lead with integrity and serve with compassion.
